Jigsaw faces

In this activity the children are given their faces cut into strips. They must rearrange their strips to see their faces. This activity can also be used to help the children to recognise other important people in their lives.

The activity is easily differentiated by using different amounts of strips or by cutting horizontally as well as vertically. It is a fun puzzle for all young children and we have also used it as an aid for teaching phonics too, e.g. using a dogs face with one letter of the word on each segment.
