This varies from nursery to nursery however at BEYC children need to have their 2nd birthday before September 1st to be eligible to join our Pre-Nursery year group.

It will only take a few days before the children understand their Nursery teachers' instructional language.
Phrases such as "Time to go to the toilet", "Its snack time" or "Come to the carpet everyone" will be the first instances of English that your child will learn. Beyond this you will be amazed just how quickly Foundation children pick up language and show understanding.

We want Thai or non-native English speaking parents to understand the importance of speaking their first language/s at home and letting BEYC be their child's English environment. This is the ideal scenario for children to develop bilingually or in some cases tri-lingually. With regard to Phonics and sound pronunciation, children should have as few contradictory 'messages' as possible at an early age. Hearing two different ways to pronounce a sound will only act to slow learning

Parents can drop their children off from 8:30 and may collect them again at 15:00. During Covid-19 times after-school clubs have been suspended. Clubs run until 16:00 in 'normal' times.

From nursery through kindergarten we follow a play-based and child-led approach. This means that the school day follows a very similar structure throughout all year groups. Each class will typically start with circle time and morning greetings and child-initiated play. There are some important teacher-led games for phonics, maths and Thai and project activities always take place in the afternoons. Its important to know that we create a balance throughout the day…

Parents are welcome to send their child for half days for as long as they wish however we do strongly believe that full days are very beneficial. There are plenty of opportunities for children to rest during the day and the children in Nursery also sleep after an early lunch. We do not offer a half-day fee however as places in the nursery are always in high demand.

Ari has an electric tuk-tuk service and the app. can be found here..  Many of our parents use this service as it is very low cost and our preschool is one of the stops. We do not have our own bus as generally our families live in the Ari neighbourhood or nearby.

Our menu is always developed and adjusted depending on the allergies our current children have. In this way we minimise risk. Any child with an allergy will receive their own food cooked in-house on that specific day. We have lots of checks to ensure that the children can not receive the wrong meal. Parents do not need to prepare anything. All bags are checked in the morning any any food from outside of the school is removed on the rare occasion something has been brought in.

During these times we are doing everything possible to keep the children as healthy as possible throughout the kindergarten.
1.Drop off and collection times are staggered.
2.Temperatures of staff, parents and children at the school gate.
3.Hands are cleaned with anti-bacterial spray before entry and then washed thoroughly throughout the day.
4.All classes play separately at this time to minimize. Masks are worn by all children and staff at all times.
5. Anti-viral spray is used to thoroughly clean the classrooms, toilets, furniture, handrails,toys and playground equipment, every single day.
